Meridia
Diet Pill
Meridia diet pills have been
linked to cardiovascular adverse events, including
death. Consumer watchdog group Public Citizen
has been aggressively trying to get Meridia diet
pill removed from the market because of the deaths
and adverse reports. The group believes the risk
of using Meridia diet pills greatly outweighs
the benefits of Meridia diet pill, which are minimal
according to the group.
Italian officials suspended the
sales of Meridia diet pill in response to two

a Europe-wide review of Meridia. In the U.S.,
officials did not take the same course of action
regarding Meridia diet pill despite the Public
Citizen’s petition asking the FDA to ban
